Did you ever hear that the human mind actually has two main functions? Two things that it must do. (psychologically speaking of course)

1. Think
2. Prove

That is all… Thinking and Proving all day every day long. In essence whatever the thinker thinks the prover must prove that thought to be true. “So what does this have to do with me”? One may think to themselves.

….Well imagine that a person sits in their chair all day at work and laments to themselves that their life is just horrible. That they are stupid and they made the wrong choices in life… They sit there and think “life may not ever get better, it’s all going down hill from here”.

Well guess what? As that person sits there, they will, over time, believe that story they made up more and more and more… Always believing their own garbage that they are putting into their own head. Making up story after story…

Are you aware that over time there story will become true. Only because they make it so.

Yes this is true!! So why not continually fill up your head with only good news, and good stories.

By now I am sure we have all heard about the laws of attraction – Energy flows where attention goes.. This can be for good OR for bad… So all fill your mind with good, clean happy thoughts and your life will sure follow. Make up a few affirmations for yourself, maybe about something you want or some place you desire to be. Be it an event, a vacation or even your life destination. Make it so with positive pure thoughts.

Ask yourself… What did I think about today? How did that make me feel? Did you notice? Next time you catch yourself in a sour mood, doesn’t matter where you are or who you are with. Change your thoughts!!! Change your thoughts and you will change your life… Life is wonderful and is here for a very short time. SO please enjoy your ride…

Now – Everyone has a few things that would just make life so much more living. Maybe a new car, a new house… Perhaps the perfect family life or spouse…
There is always something – OR – Someone…

The first thing that a person must do it … Ready???
BE AWARE - - Yep that is about as simple as it gets…
However… when you ask someone what they really, really want they usually just say…
“I don’t know… What do you want?”

Well we are not ordering a pizza here my friend we are
filling out the recipe and the order form for a better life!!

So we will keep this note from Lori kind of short..
Your assignment for the day AND for a better life today is to decide what you really want in life. Write it down and believe in yourself and you will be amazed at what the good earth and God can and will provide for you!!

OK the second part of this easy short assignment is to make sure you are NOT asking for what you DO NOT WANT… So in other words you should not say - -
“Well I know I don’t want to be married to a jerk!!” Because this will only get you that jerk. What I want you to do and what the good Lord want you to do is tell yourself what you DO want… Get it??

So you would phrase it like this…
“I DO WANT to married to the best person out there!!” And be specific..
I want (Tall, Short – Blond, Brunette – Small Frame, Large Frame)…

I guess this can all tie into you basically cannot think of what you don’t want…
In other words you cannot not think about something…

So please … “Don’t think about an elephant… wearing a Hawaiian grass skirt, having on blue sunglasses and holding a coconut with a straw in it”!! See – Get it??

So… once you discover what it is that you want in life…
Ask for it! Write it down! Think about it! Live it….

Be whom you want, Do what you want (morally and legally)
And the rest will follow and you will soon enough find yourself with what you want…
“Fake it till you make it!” It works for you…

Imagination…

Well most of us have heard this; however how many of us truly understand this? Well I will not pretend to know exactly where good ol’ Albert was coming from… However – I will offer my opinion – Cool…

Maybe if you where to ask yourself…. “What happens when I imagine?”

The question for you is an easy one AND at the same time (I believe) a very powerful one. You may actually see this as an invitation to open up your mind and go exploring… Exploring for all of the fun things in life that one can partake in… Maybe you will sit back and mentally go through a list you have, shopping; a travel list or maybe you’re your very own “Bucket List”!!! Yes the bucket list – What are the things that one must do and accomplish before one “decides” to leave the planet???

Well when do you imagine yourself accomplishing those items on your bucket list? Now perhaps?… What are a few of them? Just for fun why not say that a hot-air balloon ride is right at the top of your bucket list. Now because this list consists of adventures that you will actually partake in AND you are very much looking forward to doing…. It is suggested that you see yourself from a few vantage points.

So at first I would like you to see yourself in the balloon basket. Imagine that you are about 100 feet away from the basket. You are standing on a nice open field; the sun is warming your face with a magical sunbeam just for you… There are of course very, very few clouds in the sky. There is an ever so slight breeze that sends a nice warm fuzzy up and down your spine.

As you are standing there looking at the balloon basket… You take a closer look… and you actually see YOU standing in the basket with some of your friends or family…. ….Whom ever you want to be with - is there with you…

You notice the look of true happiness and anticipation upon your smiling face…. So much so that you can actually feel that glow in your body right now… You notice what clothes you have on… The color of your shirt, perhaps it is a new outfit that you have had your eye on for some time… Does not matter what you are wearing… Because you are sooo happy just to be there with your friends and your family….

As you are watching yourself… suddenly… you notice an extra smile upon your face… the basket moves… the helper (that you did not see) all of a sudden lets go of the rope..

Quicker than the quickest elevator you have ever ridden on…..
WOOOOSHHHHHhh up, up , up and away…..
You are still on the ground squinting to see yourself go up… wooshhhh

All of a sudden you blink and BLAMMO--- YOU are now in the basket….Rising faster and faster…. The warm breeze is brushing against you face… You are soooo glad to be alive – How wonderful life is… How wonderful you feel!

You look to the ground far, far, far away… you recognize someone on the ground wearing your clothes… what looks to be you clothes anyway… You stop and think for a second… who could that be ???

The thought passes just as quickly as you look to the side and realize that there is a flock of brightly colored birds…. flying right along the side with you…. they are so close you swear that you can reach out and touch one…. As you think to yourself… Should I?... Dare I reach out for one of the birds?? As you do… The bird turns his head and says…
“I am glad to see that you finally took your balloon ride Paula…

What a beautiful day.. Yes???” – (Says the bird – snicker…)

Oh behold the power of the imagination….

Focus...

Are you aware that what you focus on increases??

What ever you decide to focus your concentration on will grow. So by using your thoughts, actions and your emotions what ever you apply it to will grow stronger!! NOW this will work in two ways… of course you will have your positive and some may have their negative. Of course we all want to concentrate on the positive as this in the least amount will at least make your day better and more enjoyable – for you as well as the other people (and pets) around you!

So the trick here is to concentrate positively… use the words in a positive motion. Here is an example, if you or someone you are aware of: friend or a family member is sick and you wish them to feel better, you must concentrate on the healing… NOT the sick...

Remember what you think about grows and manifests itself to you!! So what you must say and think is. “I wish you well.” Or “I believe that you are better and all healthy.”

You want to use the positive words in thoughts and in words i.e. –
Healthy, Wealthy, Happy, Filled with Beauty, phrase it how you want to feel….

The things you do NOT want to think or say would be like the following -
I wish I was not sick (sick – negative word)

…Instead I am sooo glad that I am healthy, or I wish to be healthier

I wish a wasn’t so poor (poor… wrong choice of word)

…Instead I wish to be wealthier!

……………I am so glad that I am becoming so Healthy, Wealthy and Rich!!!!

What ever has been appearing in your life is brought to yourself by choices… Always use the happy positive words in what you want and how you want to feel in life… AND it will be yours….

Change your life “focus”… and you life “living” will follow…

If you are like me... Some of that winter weight has just not decided to stick around a little longer this year... Well I just happen to be going to the water park in the Dells this weekend. And I am just not quite ready for the bikini season... Yet.
